Notes:

1. For gravitational load the value provided is the allowable load controlled by flexure strenght that will produce a deflection equal to the 1/180 of the span.

2. For suction loads the value provided is the allowable load controlled by flexure.

3. To obtain the load that will produce deflections equal to 1/240 of the span and 1/360 of the span, the table load should be multiply by a factor of 0.75 and 0.5 respectively.

4. To avoid a crippling failure of the web the reaction force should be less than the allowable crippling capacity. See section C3.4 AISI STANDARD 2001.

5. The moment of inertia Ixe the effective moment of inertia and must be used only for computing deflections. It shall not be used for computing allowable flexural moments.

Nu-Vue 1-1/4" Removable Strom Shutters are precision roll-formed structural panels designed for use over glass doors and windows to provide both storm and security protection.

The lightweight aluminum panels are easy to install, slipping up into header channels and then secured into lower stud angle, stud less angle and wall sill. Removal of panels is simple, and they can be stacked for storage in a minimum area.

The extruded aluminum headers and sill are available in mill finished (bare, no painted). Both headers and sills may be permanently attached to the structure, or made removable for easy storage togheter with panels. Nu-Vue's high rib by 12" wide (net) storm panels are made of aluminum alloy 5052, temper H-32 conforming with ASTM B209 specifications, .063 (1/16) thickness and cut to lenght. All these meet Metro dade County building code specifications, having withstod wind test of 200 mph*.
