Notes:

1) The allowable design stress Fb is based on the basic design stress for flexural members and the allowable bending stress in webs determined in accordance with the provisions of the AISI specifications.

2) Thickness and area shown are those of bare steel exclusive of the galvanized coating. Weights listed for purlins are based on the weight of the galvanized steel.

3) The allowable moment and shera were computed using a factor of 1.67 and 1.60 respectively.

4) The moment of inertia (Ix) is the effective moment of inertia and must be used only for computing deflections. It shall be used for computing allowable flexional.

Nu-Vue Cee structural sections are roll formed from hot dip galvanized steel per ASTM designation A-653 for structural quality steel, using a G-90 galvanized coat having a minimum yield strenght of 50,000 psi. They are light in weight, highly resistant to corrosion, and require no field pointing or welding. Sections can be factory punched and cut in lenght up to 50'. Sectional properties shown below were computed in accordance with provisions of the American Iron and Institutes specifications for design of Cold Formed Steel Structured Members, latest edition.
